Seated Liberty Quarter Values & Mintages
Gobrecht's Seated Liberty design was used on most US silver coins for half a century. Arrows beside the date in 1853–1855 and 1873–1874 signaled changes in the coin's weight and rays around the eagle appeared in 1853 only. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST was added above the eagle in 1866.

Carson City and New Orleans issues are especially collectible and several early 1870s CC quarters were struck in the thousands, the 1873-CC No Arrows in just 4,000 pieces.
