WePlayCoins is a free reference about coins and paper money. Nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Nothing on it is an appraisal of any coin or note. The value bands we use (face value, metal value, small premium, collector premium and significant rarity) describe typical coins in general terms. The real value of a particular coin depends on its condition, its authenticity and the market at the time. Before you buy, sell or insure anything of value, have it authenticated and graded by a professional.

Accuracy

We check mintages and facts against official mint records and independent references, but errors can still slip through and sources sometimes disagree. The site is provided "as is", without any warranty that its content is complete, accurate or up to date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us so we can fix it.

We do not buy, sell or appraise

WePlayCoins does not buy, sell, value or hold coins or notes for anyone. We are not affiliated with the United States Mint, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Royal Mint, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Royal Australian Mint or any grading service. Names of those organizations and their products belong to their owners and are used only to describe coins and notes.

Tools

The calculators, checkers and the coin flipper run in your browser. Their results are estimates for information only. Silver and gold figures are based on standard weights and fineness for new, unworn coins. Any value you calculate depends on the price you enter.

Advertising and links

The site shows advertising from Google AdSense. We do not choose or endorse individual advertisers. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices. Our privacy policy explains how advertising cookies work.

Content and reuse

The text of this site and its coin and banknote illustrations are original works of WePlayCoins. You are welcome to quote short passages with a link back to the page they came from. Please do not copy or republish whole pages or large parts of the site. Mintage tables that draw on Wikipedia's mintage articles are shared under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license; the sources page lists them.
