- Make sure the mint mark really is a P. A worn or filled mark can be misread. It's what separates your coin from the 2025-D (545,600 made).
- Judge the grade under good light. These are sold in rolls, bags and sets, so most survive uncirculated. Value depends on luster and freedom from marks.
The story of the 2025-P Texas: International Space Station
Philadelphia made 591,125 of the Texas: International Space Station innovation dollar. That was the biggest Philadelphia run of the 4 designs issued in 2025; Arkansas: Raye Montague had the smallest at 520,900.
Denver struck a similar number of the same design (545,600), so neither mint's version is much harder to find.
Across the whole program it's one of the most plentiful Philadelphia designs.
Elsewhere in US coinage in 2025
The Treasury announced the end of penny production for circulation and the last circulating cents were struck in Philadelphia in November 2025. It was also the final year of the American Women quarters.
How to recognize it
The Texas: International Space Station design
Texas honors the International Space Station, with American operations directed from NASA's Mission Control Center at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Assembled in orbit by the United States with international partners, the station began continuous occupation in November 2000. Flight controllers in Houston coordinate the station's daily operations with partner control centers abroad. The reverse shows an American astronaut on a spacewalk outside the station, a nod to the support given to astronauts from many nations. Ron Sanders designed it and John P. McGraw sculpted it.
The American Innovation Dollar design
The obverse shows the Statue of Liberty in profile with IN GOD WE TRUST and $1. Each reverse honors an innovation or innovator from one state or territory, issued in the order the states joined the Union. The date, mint mark and E PLURIBUS UNUM are lettered on the edge, which is where to look for the mint mark.
