What is a 2007-S Wyoming Quarter Proof worth?
Age alone gives this coin a small premium, even worn. Sharp details and original surfaces push it higher.
What would make yours worth more:
- Grade and, for proofs, strong cameo contrast
- A die variety or minting error

What to check on your 2007-S
- Make sure the mint mark really is an S. A worn or filled mark can be misread. It's what separates your coin from the 2007-P (244 million made).
- Judge the grade under good light. State quarters are judged mainly on luster and contact marks. Look for die varieties and errors, which carry the real premiums in this series.
Proofs from 2007 come with and without frosted devices. Coins with strong contrast are labeled Cameo or Deep Cameo and are worth more.

How to recognize it
The Wyoming design
A cowboy rides a bucking bronco on this reverse, with the nickname THE EQUALITY STATE. The bucking horse and rider has long been a symbol of Wyoming and its rodeo culture. The nickname recalls that Wyoming Territory granted women the right to vote in 1869, the first government in the nation to do so. Wyoming became the forty-fourth state in 1890, the year shown on the coin. Its quarter was the fourth release of 2007.
The 50 State Quarter design
To make room for each state design, the obverse was rearranged: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and QUARTER DOLLAR all moved to the side with Washington's portrait. The reverse shows the state's design with its name, the year it joined the Union or ratified the Constitution, the year of issue and E PLURIBUS UNUM. The mint mark is to the right of Washington's ponytail.
